Constance McCullagh

Location: London
Constance is an Irish writer and feminist activist whose work is about holding on to hope in the face of loss and trauma. She has worked across the issues of violence against women and gender equality for more than twenty years and has wide-ranging media and public speaking experience, from grassroots organisations and international conferences to Radio 4’s Today programme. She contributed to the New Statesman’s campaign on rape and is happy to talk publicly about her own experience of rape and child sexual abuse. Funny Peculiar, her childhood memoir, is a celebration of life and love despite the pain of child sexual abuse.
