Action: Save Lambeth Women’s Project

In January The Femilist called out for readers to support Coventry Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre and in line with the countries current trend closing down much needed women’s services we’re now reaching out to help Lambeth Women’s Project.

Lambeth Women’s Project (LWP) has been providing specialist services to women in south London for the past three decades. As the only women-only space in the local area it has been nothing short of a lifeline for many women.

How you can help stop this from happening:
1) Sign the petition. This petition has been around for a while, but if you have not signed it yet, now is the time. The Project needs to be able to prove to the council that they have mass support.

2) If you live in the borough of Lambeth, write to your local MPs and councillors to ask them to stop the council from closing LWP. (Councillor Rachel Heywood, Kate Hoey MP , Tessa Jowell MP

3. Send a statement of support, memories of LWP or ideas for how you would like to use LWP in the future to: . These will be used to support the proposal to keep the building which the project is submitting to the council.
