Event: Welsh Women’s Aid Focus Groups on Ending Violence Against Women

The consultation on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls is designed to prompt discussion on how to prevent this violence from occurring in the first place, provide services for those who are victims and to protect victims and the wider public from future harm.

This is your chance to have your say. WWA and Women’s Voice would like to invite you to one of our free focus groups where we will be seeking your view on the prevention, protection and provision for women in Wales which will then be fed back to the Home Office and Welsh Assembly Government. Your views are important.

Violence against women is any violence that targets a woman because she is a woman. It is also violence that disproportionately affects women. It includes physical, sexual or psychological harm such as domestic violence, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, ‘honour’ attacks, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, threats of violence and kidnapping.

There will be focus-groups during the day 10.30am – 3.30pm for STAKEHOLDERS, and a PUBLIC DEBATE in the evening from 6pm – 8pm (same venues).
