Event: Women’s Networking, Women’s Networking Hub, Birmingham


The Women’s Networking Hub based in the West Midlands have announced a networking event to be held in the next year. The event will bring together women centric organisations and agencies that offer a special service to women in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Doors open: 4pm
Networking and Light Refreshments: 4pm – 6.30pm
Lady In Red: 6.30pm – 8pm
Event closes: 8pm

Come along and network with a wide range of women from a cross section of public & voluntary agencies from Birmingham and across the country!!

Hear from the National Coordinator of Million Women Rise, and winner of the coveted Emma Humphrey’s Memorial Prize 2008, Sabrina Qureshi.
A truly inspirational woman, and the leading light behind the largest women’s march since Greenham Common. Sabrina works tirelessly in mobilising women at every level, here in the UK and Internationally.

Watch Certain Curtain Theatre Company perform ‘Lady In Red’, shortlisted for the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award. Actor, Claire Moore, was this year’s winner of Inspiring Women 2008. Lady In Red has been stunning and moving audiences right across the country. The play focuses on the story of Rose – a woman who is literally a prisoner in her own home and of her attempts to escape a violent relationship.
